Terms of Service

Plain language about what you're buying, how billing works, and what happens if you want out.

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This isn't legal advice, and it isn't a finished legal document. It's a plain-English starting point Erica wrote herself so you know exactly what you're agreeing to. If anything here is unclear, or you think something's missing, email hello@earswitherica.com and ask.

Who you're agreeing with

Ears with Erica is run by Erica Guberman, a practicing audiologist, out of Coral Springs, Florida. By using this site or buying anything from it, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or make a purchase, and email hello@earswitherica.com with any questions first.

What you can buy here

StudyHub membership. Core is $35/month or $360/year. Premium is $55/month or $570/year. Both are subscriptions that auto-renew until you cancel. See the auto-renewal section below for exactly what that means.

During the launch early-bird period, memberships are discounted: Core $30/month or $300/year, Premium $47.50/month or $510/year, and the Exam Prep Pass $120. For memberships, the early-bird rate is the amount that renews for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and later re-subscribe after the early-bird period has ended, the regular price applies.

Exam Prep Pass. A one-time $150 payment that gives you Premium access for 90 days. It does not renew. You're charged once, access ends on its own after ninety days, and there's nothing to remember to cancel.

Study Sessions. Private: $80 for 60 minutes, $150 for 120 minutes. Small-group: $25 for 60 minutes, up to 10 seats. These are booked and paid for through Cal.com, not directly through this site, and delivered over Google Meet. Cal.com handles that booking and that charge. See the Payments section below.

Live Kahoot sessions. Free, open to anyone who registers with an email address. No payment involved.

How auto-renewal works

StudyHub memberships (Core and Premium, monthly or annual) renew automatically until you cancel. Here's exactly what that means:

  • Core is $35/month or $360/year. Premium is $55/month or $570/year. Whichever plan and billing interval you pick is the amount and the cadence that renews. (If you joined during the launch early-bird period, the discounted amount is what renews for as long as your membership stays active; see "What you can buy here" above.)
  • Your card is charged automatically at the start of each new billing period (every month, or every year, depending on your plan) for as long as your membership stays active.
  • You can cancel yourself, any time, from Stripe's billing portal, linked from the Membership page. No call and no email required, though hello@earswitherica.com works too if you'd rather ask a person.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals. It doesn't cut your access off immediately. You keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and it ends only after that.
  • No free trial is offered. The first charge is made at the time of purchase, and access begins immediately.

Refunds

General. Except as expressly provided in this section, all fees paid to Ears with Erica are non-refundable and all sales are final. Any refund not required by applicable law is granted at our sole discretion, and the grant of a refund on one occasion does not create an entitlement to a refund on any other. A refund request must be sent by email to hello@earswitherica.com from the email address associated with the purchase and must identify the charge concerned.

Monthly plans and the Exam Prep Pass. Access to the digital content begins immediately on purchase. A refund request for a monthly Core or Premium plan, or for the Exam Prep Pass, must be received within twenty-four (24) hours of the charge. A request received after that period will not be considered except as provided under Billing errors below.

Annual plans. A refund request for an annual Core or Premium plan must be received within fourteen (14) days of the initial charge. No refund is available for an annual plan after that period. No refund is available for a renewal charge, except as provided under Billing errors below; renewal charges are governed by the auto-renewal section above, and we will send a reminder to the email address on file before each annual renewal.

Study Sessions. Study Sessions are scheduled and paid through Cal.com. A booked session may be rescheduled, not canceled; the fee carries over to the new time. You may reschedule without charge through the link in your booking confirmation until forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled start. After that, a change is arranged on written request to hello@earswitherica.com, which we will accommodate where we reasonably can. Session fees are not refunded, except at our discretion for a session that could not be attended. If we are unable to hold a session, we will reschedule it or refund the fee, at your election.

Billing errors. Notwithstanding the periods above, we will correct the following on request, upon verification against our records: a duplicate charge for the same purchase; an annual plan purchased where a monthly plan was selected in error, provided the request is received within thirty (30) days of the charge; and a membership charge where the member has not signed in at any time since the charge.

Effect of a refund or cancellation. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal charges. It does not entitle you to a refund, in whole or in part, of any charge already made, and access continues until the end of the period already paid for, as described in the auto-renewal section above. Where a refund is granted, access to the product concerned ends when the refund is issued.

Method of refund. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor and may take five (5) to ten (10) business days to appear, depending on your bank. We do not issue refunds by any other method. "Business day" means a weekday other than a United States federal holiday.

Chargebacks. You are encouraged to contact us before disputing a charge with your card issuer, as most matters can be resolved directly. If a charge is disputed with a card issuer while a refund request for the same charge is pending, or after that charge has been refunded, we reserve the right to suspend access to the associated membership pending resolution of the dispute.

Statutory rights. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot be limited by agreement.

No accounts, no passwords

There's no account to create and no password to remember. You sign in by entering the email on your membership, and we send a sign-in link that works for 30 minutes. Clicking it sets a cookie that identifies you by your Stripe customer ID. That's the only identity StudyHub knows you by.

Payments

All card payments on this site are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe handles that entirely, along with subscription management, cancellation, and payment-method updates through its own hosted billing portal. Study Sessions are booked and paid for through Cal.com instead, which processes that charge on its own. We don't see your card details there either.

Study Sessions

Sessions are educational: they cover coursework, exam content, study strategy, and how to read a case. They do not include clinical supervision, clinical advice, or hours toward certification. Sessions are booked through Cal.com and delivered over Google Meet.

Educational content only

Everything on this site and in StudyHub (study guides, practice questions, case simulations, live Kahoot sessions, and study sessions) is educational material for audiology graduate students. None of it is medical, diagnostic, or clinical advice, and none of it is a substitute for your program's supervised clinical training.

Using the site

Your sign-in link and StudyHub access are for you personally: please don't share them or let someone else use your membership. The content in StudyHub, including the study library and case material, belongs to Erica; it's for your own studying, not for redistribution or resale.

The Praxis®

The Praxis® exam is a separate entity owned by ETS (Educational Testing Service). Nothing on this site or in StudyHub is affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ETS.

No warranty, and our liability is limited

This site and StudyHub are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the study library accurate and the site running, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ears with Erica isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site and StudyHub grow. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. If a change is significant, we'll try to flag it: following @earswitherica on Instagram or watching for an email is the most reliable way to catch it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Questions

This page is a starting point, written to be read and understood, not a substitute for a lawyer's review. If something here doesn't make sense, or doesn't match what actually happens on the site, email hello@earswitherica.com and we'll sort it out.
